Can an electric boat for children change people’s leisure time from an early age, making it sustainable? We are convinced that this is absolutely possible. We believe that educating future generations to respect the environment and to have a responsible attitude towards their surroundings must be a priority for our present.
Energy efficiency, environmental pollution, protection and safeguarding of biodiversity, a culture of change, an economy that goes hand in hand with ecology … These are important issues and are apparently difficult to pass on to a child. But as we know especially the little ones often surprise us with the maturity with which they implement new learnings. In this respect they can sometimes outperform adults, because their curiosity, like their energy, is limitless.
After all, we adults have a lot to learn. This is demonstrated by the fact that, after the lockdown, we returned to our old lives, without changing a thing, continuing to pollute and waste. We did not fully realize that only if humanity stops, the planet restarts.
But it doesn’t take much to make younger generations better ours. Perhaps we can start from small steps like raising awareness on occasions such as World Environment Day. Or even teaching them simple gestures such as recycling, turning off the tap when brushing your teeth, respecting the habitat of animals, cleaning where we have left a trace.
At GardaSolar, we believe that combining sustainability with fun is a way of shaping the people of tomorrow. This is why Miniport was born, an electric boat for children designed to pass on sustainability form an early age.
Miniport, mini fun with a big message.
Safe technology, protected environment, ergonomic seats, simple navigation: the advantages of a Miniport boat are many and we invite you to discover them on the dedicated page.
However, the philosophy behind the design of Miniport is crucial: children are an active part of the change. Leaving the “rudder” in their hands (in this case a particularly intuitive joystick) is a way to make them feel part of an adventure. As they enjoy playing a pirate or fearless commander facing the waves, children realize how their behaviour can affect their surroundings. That navigating in the silence of nature is a way to love it even more. That taking care of the earth and its small inhabitants raises awareness and fun at the same time.
And from a mini boat, they can learn a great, great lesson. A big change that can start from the small: or rather, from the little ones.
