Green, Fun & Tech. These three values are of the essence for GardaSolar and what we focus on when creating our products and services for sustainable tourism. It is a quest that continues, idea after idea, and today we are ready to launch another one – an idea that takes these three values and, once again, weaves them to perfection.
Its name is Wellness Pedalò and one glance is all you need to notice its originality. It is an innovative pedal boat with a mini whirlpool tub powered by an electric motor, equipped with airpool system and as many as 12 hydro-massage jets to transform every trip on the water into a true SPA experience. And it doesn’t end there: the new pedalo is also equipped with a new and practical removable battery developed by GardaSolar, that can be easily removed and recharged wherever you want. Soon, it will be available as an optional accessory for all our electric boat models and more.
In short: our Wellness Pedalò is a breath of fresh air for those who rent boats and are looking for a practical, innovative and fun alternative to the traditional pedal boat, a classic on Italian beaches but also one of the boats that has evolved the least over the years.
It was time to create something new. Once again, the best and most innovative idea came from a creative dialogue between professionals and, specifically, the one with Enrico Puppi. Founder of the company Preformati Italia, he conceived the Wellness Pedalò project and is today an invaluable partner for GardaSolar.
“The idea was suggested to me by a Rimini lifeguard, and it was such an interesting project that I decided to pursue it myself! – Enrico tells us – I thought that taking a great classic like the pedal boat and reinterpreting it in a modern key was a great intuition. I come from a company, Preformati Italia, that deals with whirlpools, and for some time I had been looking to collaborate with a boat builder to optimise the project. Together with some colleagues we had already taken a small step and created a prototype, but I lacked the time and personnel to give it a final and satisfactory design. Then, online, I came across GardaSolar and was amazed by the innovative products they offered. I decided to take the leap and share this project. A wonderful collaboration was born with Alberto and GardaSolar, and its product is now about to be launched on the market in its final form.
Enrico’s experience in polystyrene-insulated pools has been invaluable in developing the Wellness Pedalò, improving it in all aspects, design, resistance, right down to the whirlpool technology that characterises it.
Our Wellness Pedalòs are ready to sail on the seas and on the lakes of Italy, and the Hotel Du Lac on Lake Levico has already purchased them and made them available to the public. This is a new chapter for GardaSolar which, we are sure, will delight many families on holiday and those tourism professionals that are always on the lookout for convenient solutions capable of guaranteeing a quick return on investment. This is the philosophy of GardaSolar!
