We have spoken about Lake Molveno on several occasions. It is one of the most evocative places in Trentino and Fogazzaro himself described it as a pearl surrounded by an even more precious chest: the Brenta Dolomites.
It is a place that attracts increasingly environmentally aware tourists from Italy, Austria and Germany — so many visitors in search of a type of fun that combines sport, open air, respect for the environment and sustainable technology.
Here, GardaSolar has written the most important chapter in its history thanks to the partnership with Lorenzo Donini – the first to believe in our GOGOs – and then with Fabio Bonetti, current president of SITM, Società Incremento Turismo Molveno s.p.a., which manages the services of the Molveno lido and has been able to capitalise on green tourism, becoming an excellence in Italy, and not only.
An aquapark, minigolf, tennis courts, a pump track, beach volley, activities for sports enthusiasts and families as well as Italy’s largest electric boat rental, in which the very heart of GardaSolar beats. On the shores of Molveno, the GOGO Boats have managed to make themselves loved and recognised. Our roots are here, and we are not lying when we say that Molveno was an important launch pad for our brand and its range.
When Fabio and our own Alberto Pozzo (CEO of GardaSolar) met for the first time, they immediately realised they shared the same values and goals: to offer everyone, the visitors, the community, the investors and the Trentino region an opportunity to grow through sustainability.

Since 2009, GardaSolar has grown, not only in technology. Thanks to Fabio’s contribution, we have been able to optimise our services and become more and more competitive to the point where we have gone from being simple manufacturers to actual consultants for sustainable mobility. Today, in collaboration with SITM, we are introducing a centralised boat maintenance service and a predictive fleet management system.
What’s important is that those who believe in us do not stop growing. It happens with all our customers and especially with SITM, which will continue to invest with us in the future. In fact, our partner intends to expand the boat rental business and extend the fleet of electric boats on the lake with more Gogo Boats.
“The demand is growing, and the response from tourists has definitely convinced us. The introduction of the GOGO Boats has been so positively received by our customers that we decided to expand our fleet. And in 2023 we will expand it further, perhaps even by differentiating our range of boats. We are interested in pedal-assisted boats to replace our old fibreglass pedalos. But we have many ideas that can turn into new projects, for us and for GardaSolar.”
